Mural

This area is the start of the photography and archival portion of the project. This portion of the project is a collection of scanned photographs, documents from Lafayette community, digital articles, Facebook and archives across the city. You will then find a tree of images taken all in the building in the 2023-2024 school year of all different Lafayette community members. Each of these project participants were interviewed and photographed in spaces that were significant to them inside the building. Above the tree is a quote sourced from this video, Ronald Brooks, a Lafayette Parent of a 7th grader at the time of the closure. The students that brought this portion of the project to life are: Crystal Clemente, Nicodemus Drummond, Maya Harrison, Cyrus Hernandez-Nunez, Adrian Lopez, Lildamarys Lugo, Teagan Murphy, Kassandra Plata, Estefany Ramirez, Meela Ruta, Tevence Smith, Cailin Stallone and Victoria Toledo (Classes of 2024 and 2025)
